Why Join the Grange?

There are nearly as many reasons to join a Grange as there are Grange members.
Maybe you want to be part of a small community of caring people who meet, work, celebrate and have fun together. And often eat delicious food together.
Maybe you want to support and better your community, local schools, or other community organizations such as Philomath Community Services.
Maybe you want to learn or improve a skill such as quilting, wood carving, playing music, working on a building, gardening, animal husbandry or more.
Maybe you want to be part of a non-partisan advocacy organization more concerned with policy than politics.
Maybe you want to become comfortable and develop experience with public speaking, working in groups and leadership.
Maybe you want to support and continue a historic 100 year organization.
Maybe you want to make friends across the State of Oregon, in neighboring States, and across the nation.
Maybe you want to make friends for life.
How to Join
- Find a member who will sponsor your application. Come to a meeting or event and introduce yourself. Once members know who you are and why you are interested in becoming a member, it should be easy to find a sponsor.
- Complete the Marys River Grange application - download it here!.
- Give the application fee and dues through the end of the current calendar year to a Grange Member. The amount is pro-rated quarterly on $61.
- Membership applications are typically voted on in the next meeting, and the local Grange will inform you of the decision.
